It is with great sadness that we report the passing of another of our young great women players Jill Kulchycky after a short illness. Jill was undoubtedly one of the best bridge players (male or female) to have ever sat at a bridge table. Only one week ago Jill and her partner (Teresa Rigney) won the Irish Trials earning the right to play for Ireland in the upcoming European Championships in June. On winning the Trials Jill and Teresa were presented with the inaugural Mary Finn and Ciara Burns Memorial Trophy – in memory of two other greats of Irish Bridge who were taken away all too soon. May They Rest in Peace. Our sympathies go to her mother Bridie, sister Alison and family, and her many bridge friends.
