Each province sends its best 12 Master Players and its best 12 Intermediate players and this year for the first time, its best 12 Area Masters.  There are 3 separate Inter-Provincial Championships taking place (Open, Intermediate and Area Master).  The format is ‘Team of Four’ where you play each of the other 9 teams from the other three provinces.

10 teams are in action this Bank Holiday Weekend to select one team to  represent the CBAI in the Camrose Trophy next March.  Grainne Barton’s highly successful squad has already been selected to represent Ireland in the  Home International series (Mark Moran, Rory Boland, Tom Hanlon, Hugh McGann, John Carroll and Tommy Garvey).

The 10 teams will play 24 boards against each of the other 9 times (in two 12 board stanzas).
